Engagement Shoots in South Florida
Engagement photos seem to be commonplace for most brides and grooms these days, but surprisingly, some still pass up on the opportunity to enjoy beautiful images before their big day. Most of our wedding clients do book engagement sessions with us, and we welcome this intimate time with them. As wedding photographers in South Florida, we typically photograph our engagement sessions in Delray, Deerfield, Fort Lauderdale Beach, downtown Fort Lauderdale, or Miami – or a more “premium” venue, like Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.
Muñoz Photography is known for our award-winning wedding photography, and our engagement photography isn’t too shabby, either. And when our clients seem slightly reluctant to book because a) it’s another added cost, b) they don’t love having their photos taken, or c) they think they can buy a tripod and DIY it, we remind them of the advantages of having us take them…
So why do we think booking an engagement shoot with your wedding photographer is a must?
Save the Dates
Since traditional wedding invitations aren’t usually sent until 1-2 months before the big day, it’s nice to give your guests as much notice as possible so they can appropriately plan, especially if they’re coming in from out of town. And let’s face it, save the dates with professional photography – in the same style of your wedding photography looks better than the favorite photos you might pull from your iPhone. Good news, too – Muñoz Photography can print your save-the-dates too so it’s a seamless, all-in-one process.
Your Wedding Website
Your wedding website is a hub for all the vital need-to-know info like hotel blocks, directions for entering your venue, attire, and most importantly – your registry. So you want it to look nice, right? This is the perfect opportunity to showcase your favorite engagement photos for your friends and family.
This one isn’t exactly a must, but many of our clients who book engagement shoots opt for an album to hold all of the images. An engagement album is a nice keepsake, and it also offers a place for your wedding guests to inscribe messages on your wedding day.
Time to get to know your photographer
If there’s one reason we think is probably the most important, it’s this – booking an engagement session with your wedding photographer not only gives you a practice run of getting in front of the camera (great for those photography shy clients), but it also allows you time to get to know your photographer…and for them to get to know you, too! You can use this time to tell them about your “good side,” poses you don’t love, and any other quirks you may have. It’s a win-win for us and you!
