Sage Steele & Dave Barbuto’s Black-Tie Wedding at Diamond Creek Farm

Sage Steele and Dave Barbuto’s wedding at Diamond Creek Farm was more than an elegant Tennessee celebration—it was a return to the exact place where their story began.

The former ESPN broadcaster first met Dave at a charity event in Nashville. During their introduction, they discovered an unexpected connection: their mothers had known each other for more than 30 years after volunteering together in Kansas in the early 1990s. Despite that history between their families, Sage and Dave had never met until that evening.

From Nashville to a Fort Lauderdale Proposal

After meeting, Sage and Dave began talking every night. One month later, they reunited in Nashville, first making a casual trip to Whole Foods before having dinner the following evening at Adele’s, the same restaurant they would later choose for their rehearsal dinner.

Their relationship moved quickly, and five months later Dave proposed during a morning walk along the beach in Fort Lauderdale. What Sage thought was a simple walk near her home became a surprise proposal when Dave got down on one knee in the sand.

A Full-Circle Wedding at Diamond Creek Farm

On September 5, 2025, Sage and Dave returned to Nashville for their wedding at Diamond Creek Farm. The venue carried a significance that went far beyond its beautiful setting: it was the place where they had first met.

Their ceremony was even held on the exact spot where that first introduction happened, making the wedding a true full-circle moment for the couple.

The celebration featured an elegant black-tie aesthetic with women dressed in black, steel-grey attire for the bridal party, and rich red roses throughout the design. Large-scale floral installations and a custom welcome wall helped transform the property while keeping the overall look timeless and sophisticated.

A Wedding Centered Around Family

Family was one of the most important parts of Sage and Dave’s wedding. Instead of a traditional bridal party, their children stood beside them throughout the celebration.

The couple also created a meaningful military tribute honoring Dave, who served as an Army captain, along with other members of their family who served. The display included a large American flag, Dave’s Army coat, and family photographs—adding another deeply personal layer to the wedding day.

Photographing Sage Steele & Dave Barbuto’s Wedding

Muñoz Photography’s John Fusco photographed the celebration from the afternoon preparations through the ceremony, portraits, and evening reception. His coverage focused not only on the design of the wedding but also on the quieter moments between Sage, Dave, their children, and their families.

From getting ready and exchanging vows to portraits around Diamond Creek Farm, the photographs tell the story of a couple returning to where everything started.

For Sage Steele and Dave Barbuto, their Nashville wedding was ultimately about more than the venue, the florals, or the black-tie details. It was about standing together in the very place where they first met and beginning their next chapter surrounded by the people who mattered most.
