The Kuqis - A Celebration in Kosovo

MAIN DETAILS
Nora & Shyqeri’s wedding was a three-day celebration across Kosovo, filled with tradition, fashion, music, and unforgettable moments. Photographed by Tom Muñoz alongside an incredible team of vendors, each day brought a new experience to a celebration that felt both deeply personal and beautifully grand.
A Three-Day Wedding Celebration in Kosovo

Nora and Shyqeri’s wedding was never going to feel like an ordinary wedding. Spread across three unforgettable days in Kosovo, their celebration brought together family, culture, fashion, music, and an incredible group of creatives from around the world. But for Tom Muñoz, photographing this wedding meant something even more personal.

Shyqeri, known by many as Soosha, is a renowned photographer, Master Photographer, and the talent behind Shoocha Photography, which he owns alongside his wife, Nora. More importantly, Soosha has been a longtime friend of Tom and the Muñoz Photography family. That history completely changed what it meant to stand behind the camera on his wedding day. The emotions Tom was documenting weren’t simply those of a photographer watching a groom marry the woman he loves. They were the emotions of a friend watching someone he has known and respected for years begin one of the most meaningful chapters of his life.

The Celebration Begins at Grand Hotel Belushi

The first day of Nora and Soosha’s Kosovo wedding began at Grand Hotel Belushi, setting the tone for everything that would follow. From the beginning, the celebration carried an unmistakable sense of energy. This wasn’t simply one wedding day condensed into a few hours—it was a three-day experience where every gathering, tradition, outfit, performance, and embrace became another piece of the story.

Photographing a fellow photographer also brought another layer to the experience. Soosha understands light, timing, composition, and the importance of the smallest moments. Yet for these three days, his only responsibility was to experience them. Tom could take care of preserving the memories while Soosha and Nora remained completely present with the people they loved.

Three Days of Tradition, Fashion and Celebration

As the wedding continued, every day revealed a different side of Nora and Soosha’s story. Kosovo provided an extraordinary backdrop for a celebration that balanced tradition with a modern, elevated wedding experience.

Nora’s fashion throughout the celebration, including designs from Lena Berisha and Drenusha Xharra, brought a distinctly editorial element to the wedding, while Soosha wore SuitSupply. The environments created by M Decor transformed each celebration through elaborate floral and event design, while live performances from artists including Edi Ermeni, Klajdi Haruni, and Bruno kept the energy building throughout the festivities.

But behind everything spectacular were the quieter photographs—the expressions between Nora and Soosha, the reactions of family members, the embraces between longtime friends, and those brief moments that can disappear almost as quickly as they happen.

Those are often the photographs that ultimately mean the most.

The Final Celebration at Societe Events

By the third and final day, the celebration reached its peak at Societe Events. After days surrounded by friends, family, traditions, incredible entertainment, and countless emotional moments, the final celebration felt like the culmination of everything that had come before it.

For Tom, there was something especially meaningful about looking through the camera at a person who had spent so much of his own career doing the same thing for others. Photographers dedicate their lives to preserving other families’ histories. This time, it was Soosha’s history being preserved.

And that is what made Nora and Soosha’s wedding in Kosovo so memorable.

It was beautiful because of the locations, design, fashion, and scale of the celebration—but its real significance came from the relationships behind it. Three days gave us the opportunity to photograph far more than a wedding. We were able to document the beginning of Nora and Soosha’s marriage, the culture surrounding them, the people who helped shape their lives, and a story that was deeply personal to everyone involved—including the photographer behind the camera.
